BMW built the 3 series on the legacy of its nimble sports coupe, the 2002. While the 2002 was considered a sports coupe, by the time the 3 series had evolved into an exceptional compact, this refined vehicle had also taken its place at the top of the sports sedan pecking order.   It has never left Car & Driver's top ten list, staying consistently the champion in the sports coupe category for 23 years.

Always looking for more power, the 325i was upgraded from its 2.5 liter M50B25 six putting out 189 hp with the more refined M52B28 190 hp DOHC engine, and the model was re-designated the 328i to represent the 2.8 liter displacement upgrade. Torque was significantly improved, up 35 lb-ft over the 245 lb-ft of the 2.5 liter engine, which gave the vehicle a better boost in all aspects of driving.

The next generation E46 3 series continued to offer the 328i model, but it was soon replaced by the 330i in 2000. In 2007, a new version of the 328i was introduced as a US exports only E46 platform car, with 228 hp and 199 ft-lb of torque.  This platform was face-lifted in 2010; engine improvements included 228 hp and 221 lb-ft of torque from the N52B30 powerplant.  The F90 platform was introduced in 2012 and is currently in production.  The 3281 now puts out 242 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque in a well-balanced, sophisticated sports sedan.

Bmw 330xi Fuse Box Diagram

Fuse box diagram (fuse layout), location and assignment of fuses BMW 3-Series E90/E91/E92/E93 (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010) 325i, 325xi, 328i, 328xi, 330i, 330xi, 335i, 335xi and M3.

BMW 3-Series (2005-2010)

Checking and Replacing Fuses

The wiring circuits in the vehicle are protected from short circuits by fuses. This greatly reduces the chance of damage caused by electrical problems.

To check a fuse, look at the silver-colored band inside the fuse. If the band is broken or melted, replace the fuse. Be sure to replace a bad fuse with a new one of the identical size and rating.

Fuses of the same amperage can be temporarily borrowed from another fuse location if a fuse goes out. Replace the fuse as soon as possible.

Note

  • Before replacing a fuse check that the key has been removed from the ignition and that all the services are switched off and/or disengaged.
  • When replacing a blown fuse, it is important to use only a fuse having the correct amperage rating. The use of a fuse with a rating other than indicated may result in a dangerous electrical system overload.
  • If a properly rated fuse continues to blow, it indicates a problem in the circuit that must be corrected.

Fuse box locations

Fuse box locations

  1. Rear power distribution panel (high amperage fuses);
  2. Junction box fuse panel;
  3. E-box engine electronics fuse carriers.

Warning!

Never attempt to repair a blown fuse and do not replace a defective fuse with a substitute of another color or amperage rating, otherwise, this could lead to a circuit overload, ultimately resulting in a fire in the vehicle.

Fuse Box behind the glove compartment

Open the cover in the glove compartment and remove it. Spare fuses and a pair of plastic forceps are set in holders on the distributor box. See the rear of the cover for information on fuse assignment.

The Best Business VoIP Plans

CC0/ThorstenF/Pixabay

As the internet permeates all areas of business life, voice communication is one sphere that is poised for complete transformation. The telephone enjoyed a long run of dominance in voice communication for business since its invention in 1878. Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), a technology invented in 1973, is now coming of age. Its continued adoption could shrink telephone usage in business in the years ahead.

There are several reasons you want to use VoIP technology in your business. The first is cost. VoIP is transmitted over the internet, eliminating the need for a separate telephone contract. Particularly for long distance or international business calls, VoIP could save your business money in the long run.

A second advantage is the ability to easily scale connections. Unlike with the phone system, you don't need to build new infrastructure when you want to connect more users to VoIP. Existing internet infrastructure will suffice. Below we take a look at some of the best VoIP plans for business use.

Ring Central

Ring Central's VoIP plan is among the leaders for businesses both small and big. Starting at just $19.99 a month, the company's service offering packages multiple services at a single price. Services included in the package include:

  • Conferencing
  • Virtual numbers
  • Fax
  • Instant messaging
  • Call recording

In a mobile world, Ring Central has made sure that its plans work with typical mobile devices, making it possible to do business on the go.

Vonage Business

Vonage is a New-Jersey based provider of VoIP and other cloud telecommunication services. The company stands out for the affordability and reliability of its service for businesses. Vonage's VoIP plans begin at $14.99 per user per month. There are multiple tiers of service, including Mobile, Premium, and Advanced. This allows you to pick the features you need and lower your bill by avoiding features your business will hardly use. Vonage adds to the flexibility of the experience by not requiring contracts.

Nextiva

Recognizing that business VoIP users are busy with other aspects of their business, Nextiva has set out to make VoIP as easy to use as possible.

This means that setup can be completed quickly, with no need for specialist knowledge. Service plans begin at between $19 and $25 per user per month.

Nextiva also provides a beginner friendly guide to cloud phone systems that will help you understand all your options even better.

Jive

For enterprise users who value having a complete set of features, Jive is a suitable VoIP solution. It has all the basics covered, including:

  • Call routing
  • Toll-free numbers
  • Auto attendants
  • Voicemail to email
  • Call recording
  • Video conferencing

With call analytics integrated into its package, Jive will allow you to understand your organization's phone communication performance. If you are running call centers for customers, for example, you can see how well your are attending to customer calls and spot potential improvements.

Ooma Office

Ooma's business package offers affordable VoIP service with features that rival or eclipse those of more expensive competitors.
